2. Don't do this

For goodness sakes, don't put your pipet into stock solutions (solutions that are provided for the whole class to use). If it is dirty, you will contaminate the stock solution. Even if you believe your pipet is sparkling clean, it's just bad technique. Always pour some of the stock solution into a another container and pipet from there.
